Position Over​view:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Airfreight Estimator to join our team. This pivotal role involves analyzing customer requirements, determining cost-effective solutions, and preparing accurate quotations for airfreight shipments. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our sales and operations teams while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Quotation Preparation:

•    Analyze customer inquiries and requirements to develop comprehensive airfreight quotations.
•    Calculate freight rates, surcharges, and other relevant costs using established pricing guidelines and market knowledge.
•    Collaborate with internal departments, including sales and operations, to ensure quotations are competitive and aligned with customer expectations.

Cost Analysis and Pricing Strategy:

•    Conduct cost analysis to determine the most cost-effective routing and transportation options for airfreight shipments.
•    Evaluate market trends, carrier rates, and fuel surcharges to optimize pricing strategy and maintain competitiveness in the market.
•    Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in airfreight operations.

3. Customer Communication:

•    Interact with customers to understand their shipping requirements and address any inquiries or concerns related to quotations.
•    Provide expert advice and guidance on airfreight services, transit times, and shipping options to support customer decision-making.
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.

4. Bid Management:

•    Manage the bid process for airfreight contracts and tenders, coordinating with internal stakeholders to develop competitive proposals.
•    Ensure timely submission of bids and proposals, adhering to customer deadlines and requirements.
•    Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions to maximize profitability and mitigate risks.

5. Performance Analysis:

•    Monitor and analyze the performance of airfreight quotations and pricing strategies, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
•    Generate reports and insights on quotation activity, pricing trends, and competitive positioning to support strategic decision-making.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and enhancements as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualifications in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in airfreight pricing and estimation within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
• In-depth knowledge of airfreight operations, including carrier rates, routing options, and transportation regulations.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret data and perform cost analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications for pricing and quotation management.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
